# Delete a snapshot (storage)

DELETE http://localhost:6333/snapshots/{snapshot_name}

Deletes the specified snapshot of the entire storage.

## Authentication

- `api-key` header (required) — API Key authentication via header

## Servers

## Request

### Path parameters

- `snapshot_name` (string, required) — Name of the full snapshot to delete

### Query parameters

- `wait` (boolean, optional) — If true, wait for changes to actually happen. If false - let changes happen in background. Default is true.
